Our Story

Studio Sargent is named in honor of the great American portraitist John Singer Sargent (1856-1925), an artist who painted women not so much as muses or symbols, but as individuals perched on the edge of thought, of decision, of motion. That sense of possibility is why his work remains so compelling.

Studio Sargent was born out of a lifelong fascination with art history, passed down from mother to daughter, and the feminine excitement of feeling perfectly put together. This footwear is made for the kind of women I've long admired. Women who carry themselves with intention: elegant without exhibition, self-assured without needing to say much. Women who appreciate fine things, but aren't too precious about them. Sargent-esque women.

Studio Sargent footwear is crafted in small batches in Portugal. Every pair is made to be loved, lived in, and, above all, worn well.
